by | Uncategorized

On June 25th, 2024, the EPTRI Medical Devices Platform hosted its 6th webinar, focusing on “Child Health Data and Artificial Intelligence.” The event featured two PHEMS speakers: Dr. Andrew Taylor, leader of Use Case 1 and Director of Innovation at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children (GOSH) and Dr. Katariina Gehrmann, Director of Digital and Innovation services at the Children and Adolescents department in HUS, Helsinki University Hospital coordinator of PHEMS.

The event brought together experts to explore the role of co-design methodologies and strategic partnerships in shaping pediatric health technologies. Discussions highlighted how collaboration across national health systems, academia, and the biotech sector can accelerate innovation and improve outcomes in child health.

Dr. Taylor opened the session where he explored the opportunities that artificial intelligence offers in pediatric healthcare, with a particular emphasis on its potential to enhance the outpatient clinic experience for both clinicians and patients. Dr. Gehrmann closed the session with an overview of the PHEMS project.
